Las Vegas - In an extremely strong stance against drugs in boxing, the WBC has fined Julio Cesar Chavez Jr a massive $10,000 and ordered him into rehab after the Mexican superstar tested positive to marijuana in a post-fight drug test.

FightBeat is a strong supporter of rehabilitation for serious drug addictions, and in order to understand the process further, obtained an exclusive interview with the Director of the Hope Rehabilitation Clinic in California, home to celebrities and sports stars who have strayed into the ugly world of drug addiction.
The Hope Clinic provided exclusive access to its facilities and programs under condition of anonymity in order for FightBeat to provide this report.
FightBeat - Thanks for granting us this interview. To start, what sort of people attend rehab?
Hope Clinic - Junkies mainly. Addicts. People addicted to drugs. We get many celebrities here, some A grade celebs but mostly C and D grade reality TV stars and washed up sports persons.
FB - And what sort of drugs are people generally addicted to?
HC - You name it. Coke, crack, pills, uppers, downers, E, booze, pot, LSD, shrooms, sweet lady H…..everything.
FB - So for someone like Chavez, who has tested positive to marijuana, how would you deal with such an insidious addiction?
HC - We have a groundbreaking program for addiction to marijuana and other drugs. In most clinics, they practice abstinence; that is, you are completely removed from all drugs and undergo extensive counselling.
FB - And how is your program different?
HC - Rather than abstinence, we promote a program of clinical de-sensitisation - effectively, we force you to take massive quantities of drugs, all day, every day. By doing this, you get completely sick of them and eventually want nothing more to do with them.
FB - So if I was addicted to coke, you’d pretty much give me as much coke as I could handle, and more?
HC - Oh yes. Extremely good quality too, 80% pure straight from our Columbian dealers pharmaceutical partners. We get you completely off your banana from the moment you walk through the door till the moment you leave. It’s a relentless drug-fest from morning till night.
FB - And what’s your success rate?
HC - We are extremely successful. In fact, unlike other rehab clinics, few people want to leave and instead they prefer to see out the program in full. However, many people do book in for repeat treatments to make sure they are drug free.
FB - How many exactly?
HC - Around 95% return within a day. We are pleased with this….most patients in traditional clinics never want to come back after treatment, and may lapse back into addiction. At the Hope clinic, they come back all the time!
FB - Fascinating. OK so what would happen if Chavez Jr turned up tomorrow. What would you do?
HC - The instant he arrived, he would undergo an extensive, day long debrief as a first step. The debrief consists of a series of extreme pot ingestion events using high grade marijuana sourced from our Mexican pharmaceutical partners. We prefer Acupulco Gold, all legal and used for medicinal purposes. This is combined with an extensive Cheech and Chong movie marathon while sitting on comfortable bean bags, combined with relentless reggae music at loud volumes.
FB - Anything else?
HC - Yes, we provide a variety of foods and drinks to accompany the debrief.
FB - Such as?
HC - Burgers, Mars Bars, beer, pizza, fries, milkshakes, that sort of thing.
FB - Ahh, so you literally flood their senses, right?
HC - Right. And by doing this, day and night for weeks, eventually they tire of it and want something different.
FB - Like cocaine, hookers and tequila shots?
HC - Yes many do progress down this road. Most in fact. We believe this is due to hidden addictions that they have not yet addressed. And believe me, we also flood their senses with that too, if they need it.
FB - Is it expensive to receive such treatment?
HC - It costs absolutely shitloads.
FB - Thanks for your time
