The time has come. The highest ranked U.S. National Amateur Champion at 125lbs., “Relentless” Ronica Jeffrey is ready to starburst onto the scene when she makes her pro-debut slated for November 21st in Long Island.  Known for her guile in and out of the ring, Ronica signed with NY’s hottest manager David Selwyn, and also added noted cut-man "Big" George Mitchell to Team Jeffrey.

"I've trained a lot of fighters over the years, but Ronica is special,” states Mike Smith, Jeffrey’s longtime trainer. “Speed, power, heart, and most of all an incredible work ethic, she’s the total package.”

Ronica, was born and bread in Brooklyn, NY and is of Caribbean descent. Her amateur accomplishments are second to none. She’s a three-time NYC Golden Gloves Champion, a two-time Empire State Games Champion, a two-time Metro’s Champion, a 2006 National PAL Champion, a USA boxing team member, and a Bronze medalist at the 2006 Pan Am Games. Ronica caught the media’s attention in her first New York City Golden Gloves tournament when she shutout media darling Maureen Shea 5-0.

Title contender Eileen Olszewski—who’s also managed by David Selwyn and in September fought Stefania Bianchini to a stalemate for the WBC Flyweight title —states, “She has a lot of talent and has what it takes to become a World Champion.”

Five-time World Champion in four weight divisions, Iran “The Blade” Barkley, is an avid follower of amateur boxing and has been keeping a close eye on Ronica. "I've seen this girl in the Golden Gloves and at Gleason’s gym. She's really got the goods."

Although Ronica anticipates a long career as a boxing champion, she also recognizes that success comes to those who are prepared to meet life’s challenges.  Ronica recently earned a Ring 8 Scholarship to attend Wood Tobe-Coburn Institute where she plans on pursuing a medical career, preferably in Pediatrics or Sports Medicine.

Those who know Ronica best describe her character outside the ring as friendly, humorous and personable. But "Watch out!" when the bell sounds, she turns up the Caribbean heat. "When it's time to get busy, she's all business. Actually, she’s RELENTLESS" says Selwyn.
